El_Funt, aka Filip Huygens,started playing reggae music at the age of 17. Before, he was involved by the drum'nbass crew Gaz Mazk
( www.Gazmazk.com -> check wikkit site!), a crew who is also originated in Kruibeke. Inspired by Engelo & Oliman and the great reggae sound, he joined the Freedom Fighter crew.

EL_FUNT specializes in the rootsreggae music of the seventies, but in the meantime he prefers to play the eighties Rubadubsound. Artists like Yellowman, purpleman, Luie Lepki, Peter Metro, Little John and many more Rubadub masters are to be found in his selection. You can listen to a little mix @ the audio section.

 

Having reached the age of 22, he graduated in journalistics at the Plantijn Hogeschool, Antwerp. His hobby and core-business is to make videoclips, videoskits and webtrailers, together with Mr. Bassie, also a member of the OFFKRU. This coöperation is called Mousquito Productions.
